Monday, June 14, 2010 - Day 1 - U.S. Departure: Today we begin our flights to Prague, Czech Republic. Meals will be served aloft.
Tuesday, June 15 - Day 2 - Prague: After connecting in our gateway city, we arrive in Prague and are greeted by our professional tour manager. Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic and the “Jewel of Eastern Europe”. Unlike many European cities that suffered significant architectural damage during one or both World Wars, Prague did not. Our days will be devoted to its squares, spires and colorful architectural styles; you can walk through its Old Town, stroll along Karlova Street to the Charles Bridge, or visit the Malastrana Quarter, one of the more charming districts of old Prague. Following an orientation to our tour and life in Prague, we check in to our hotel for dinner and our first overnight. (D)
Wednesday, June 16 - Day 3 - Prague: This morning we begin a sightseeing walking tour of the “Old Town”, the medieval Hradcany Castle, seat of Bohemian kings and Holy Roman emperors with St. Vitus Cathedral and the vaulted halls of the Royal Palace, and Wenceslas Square. Following our tour the afternoon is at leisure. At our special dinner this eveninq we will enjoy wonderful Czech flavors in food, drink, and music. Overnight Prague. (B, SD)
